My Tablet is 5 months old and has stopped working. The RCA screen will come on but only for a few seconds and only when it is plugged in.

@k3j23j5m19t1 sounds like apower issue. since your tablet is only 5months old I'd recommend you do nothing to it. Contact whoever you bought the tablet from and get it fixed under warranty.
