How to realign the lid

My Late 2012'' macbook pro retina's lid is mis aligned. With the lid closed, the left side and front right of the display jut out a bit. Basically the display is pushed diagonally some how, maybe like .5mm, but because of this the when opening and closing the lid there's a little friction and a popping sound like the plastic is temporarily caught on something.

My macbook's apple care already ran out so they won't fix it. I had the screen replaced 5 months ago (right before it ran out) due to image retention. I haven't dropped my macbook or anything, but now I need to fix it.

Anyway can someone tell me what tool's do I need? and how I go about it?

I'd take a look at this guide, steps 16-19. Loosen the screws, get it in alignment then tighten it down.

Hi,

due to technical problem my MacBook air 2018 retina screen has been replaced by apple.

the person who fixed this could not make the lid perfectly aligned with the body and it is about half a milimeter leaning left.

It is not effecting the functionality but you feel it when you touch with your fingers.

I do not want to resend it to apple as I think they will accept to repair since its a very minor cosmetic issue.

I want to align this myself, I watch screen replacement videos but there are too many steps I believe unnecessary for only alignment.

can I just loosen the 3 hinge screws, align it and tight them and close it ? without playin with cables or battery or wifi ?
