Swapped harddrives and now my mac won't power up and won't charge

I have a 17 inch 2011 macbook pro A1297 with a bad logic board, so I bought a 2011 15 ich macbook pro that worked fine and put my 750 gb hard drive from the 17 inch Mac into the 15 inch. Now the 15 inch macbook won't power up, no fans, no noise. When I connect the charger, it starts to charge then the LED goes out. Battery indicator does not light up. I have tried multiple chargers, unhooked the battery, reset the SMC, and still nothing. I put the original 500 gb hard drive back into the machine and it still doesn't work. Even unhooked the hard drive cable from the logic board it case it was shorting out, but still didn't make a noise. Any suggests.

The first thing I would do is return the 17" to it's original configuration, take it into an ASP and have it tested for a free repair under this program: https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro...
