Has my Mac Pro early 2008 got a broken graphics card?

Mac Pro early 2008, only bought a few days ago. The Mac starts up, everything runs, even the fan on the graphics card runs however there is no video but the Mac will power on. I have connected the Mac to a computer monitor (compatible with Apple Macs) using a DVI cable and using a DVI port on the Mac pro's graphics card however I get no video. Is this a graphics card issue?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

In my experience the most common problem with this model has been the video cards. When you start looking for a replacement the originals are high. I have one of these machines. When mine failed I went with a card from the 2009.

Apple Mac Pro Nvidia GeForce GT 120 PCIe 512MB Video Card

It has 512 mb, twice the original and I have yet to have one of these fail. They are even at a much better price. You should be able to pick one up for around $60.00 - $75.00

Here's the one I got last month: http://www.ebay.com/itm/182148314949?_tr...
