ardilg what year what model? what have you checked? If you have spark and fuel, and it won't start, you may have it a different times.

ardilg , Maybe start by removing old fuel and filling with fresh good fuel. Sounds like it could be a timing issue, stuck valve, low compression. Use the trouble shooting link below may be of some help. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

I had hard starting issue, changed plugs, checked compression, replaced carb (which was less than $20). Finally figured it out, even though it had spark it must have been too weak. I replaced the coil pack, now it fires up right away everytime.

I have a 1991 ezgo 2 cycle golf cart, it was running and shut off. I replaced the carb, fuel pump and lines, plug and nothing. If I spray starter spray it will fire but not stay running. Help

Same thing is happening to me 1989 ez go 2 cycle. Good spark, new carb, new fuel lines, cleaned the tank, new fuel pump. Still only pops on starting fluid.
