replaced touchscreen, now WAY out of calibration

I replaced the glass and touchscreen on my 3GS. It powered up fine on forst try but now the touchscreen is WAY out of claibration. When you tap on an icon in the middle of the screen the app to the left launches. The 4 across the botom don't launch at all... Help!

check you ordered the right part.. 3g in a 3gs gives these symptoms...

i had the same problem, turns out i ordered the wrong part. i had been thinking i bought a 3g and all this time i had a 3gs.

Open the iPhone back up and reconnect cables 1-3, check for dust etc. Most likely 2 is the culprit. It may also be you need to reset phone- press power and home for 10 sec until apple appears then allow to reboot.
