Why are there white vertical lines down my screen?

I dropped my phone on concrete and now half of the screen has white verticle lines down the screen. It won't register my touch but it still lights up when I receive notifications.

Options

All aspects of your screen (Glass, LCD, Digitizer) have been damaged. You need to replace your display assembly to repair your phone.
