Need to identify broken components in overheating logic board

I have this iphone 6 logic board that overheats and eventually kills the battery and dies, so I would like to find the broken component on the logic board causing the overheating and replace it. I'm only doing this as practice as the board is icloud locked. The problem is I

do not know how to identify bad components on the board. I've uploaded some pics so maybe some of you guys can help.

put some isopropanol alcohol on it, boot it up and look for small bubbles forming because of the heat...
