What is causing my logic board to overheat?

My iPhone 5 logic board keeps getting very hot, very quickly. Is there a fix?

The battery rarely overheats, it's your logic board that is heating up.

Other than it getting hot when i connect a battery, no, nothing else is out of the ordinary

Can't say for sure since there is not much for me to go on, but usually you start with these things: stuck apps/software that requires a system restore, broken peripheral parts that are shorting the power or causing the system to request them repeatedly, or broken logic board components that cause the system to request them repeatedly.
