How Do I know If I Broke The Batteries Solder Connection Spot

I have attempted to resolder the battery connector on, and out of the 4 gold tabs on the back, ive managed to knock one off and loose it... Does this mean the logic board is completely f'd now or can I just tack it to where the gold thing use to be ?

The only other problem I had is the solder was not staying melted with a soldering iron. Maybe a hot air gun would be better, or low melt alloy...

@zaceustace your description is a bit vague. Take some pictures of what you got there and post those with your question. Use this guide for that so that we can see what you see.

It does sound like you have issues with one of the solder pads. you may have to consider rerouting those contacts or try to rebuild the solder pad.

You need to have the right heat as well as plenty of flux and good solder to make the connection. Only practice will make perfect.

Hello, yes, I mean the solder pad has come off. The little gold thing, there are 4 of them, usually, but according to your diagram, number 2 is missing... does that mean it is beyond repair?

No, not yet. Just connect it with the jumpers as marked.

as in I need to run solder from point 2 to the gold dot on the other end? (sorry my terminology is bad I am not very experienced in this) or do u just have to solder the connector to the black square the gold tab once was?

by

you have to complete the circuit from big gold point to the capacitors on the bottom via connector 2 on the battery connector. Follow the green line...

that seems much too complicated for me to lay solder across terminals with perfection. I guarantee I will mess it up... I think I might have to put this one on ebay, although I will give it a shot.
