Can the charging circuit on the Chromebook xe500c12 be replaced?

The charger died, and in the process of trying to retrofit a charger I seem to have damaged the device. Now that i have a new replacement charger, there is no light when the charger is plugged in, and the device does not charge.

Can the device be fixed? Could it be the charging circuit? Can anything be replaced?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

It depends. Perhaps check all the capacitors and other parts for shorts, then it looks like you might have to track down a replacement PMIC of some sort and solder it in. Do you have a picture of the board?
