Touch not working after repair

So I replaced a broken screen and now the touch is not working on the bottom area of the screen after the repair. Anybody dealt with this? I re-checked the connections and they are all in solid.

Help??

you may have used a 3G part on your 3GS phone. its a common mistake.. the 3gs has a black plastic rectangle bar in the middle of the connector.
