iPhone 5s not turning on/not showing on iTunes after screen replacemen

Hi,

My dad's iPhone 5s had a black display. So I decided to restore it, but after restoring the phone wasn't showing anything on the display. So I realised that the problem is with the display therefore I ordered a display from ebay. Now after changing the display iPhone does not turn on and iTuens does not recognize it. Anyone had this issue before? Please help me :(

It's possible you have a bad screen from ebay as well. I dont use ebay, because of the terrible return policies of some of the sellers and questionable quality.

You also could have a bad battery. I have seen the iPhone 5s and 5c have this issue.

Double check all your connections, use a different charger and if none of those work, then it's probably one of the two suggestions above.

Thanks for replying. The place I purchased the screen from was a trusted source and they also checked the display to see if it works before sending it. Do you think I should buy a bew battery?

Update: the phone's battery was flat that's why it didn't connect to iTunes. But the phone's screen still won't turn on just like before changing the screen. Any ideas what I should do?

I would try another screen just to make sure. There is an IC on the motherboard that may be blown that controls the backlight and also one for the video. I dont know the names of the IC's, but you may want to research repair options for those. Those repairs shouldnt be too expensive.
