Official Apple repair of Touch ID home button?

Hi

If I purchased a second hand iPhone 6 which has a non working touch ID function on the home button, can Apple fix this and transfer the fingerprint tech to work again on a new touch ID home button?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I'd love to know if Apple do a repair service for this and how much they charge?

I know using a third party home button eliminates the touch ID function as it can't be transferred.

I had this trouble, as much as I researched it I couldn't find any way to make touch ID work again once it has stopped working.

They will do a screen replacement for $109, but if you tamper your phone they will refuse any service, paid or not.

The ONLY solution I have found to work personally is using a BRAND NEW, NOT SETUP iPhone and taking the home button from it. Install it in the device you'd like to have touch ID on and it will program to that device permanently.....This solution is not worth the time or money but I have had the chance to try it twice with success on an iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2.

No any replaced buttons will not work.

I'm wondering if he's saying to transfer the logic board, and the home button. I'm also wondering if ifixit sells paired Touch ID home buttons, with the logic boards they sell...
