repaired the glass, made connections...phone wont turn on

followed the directions and watched the video a million times, repeated all the steps put the 3 ribbon connectors back on and snapped into place, the phone will vibrate occasionally but will not come on..At my wits end...keep repeating the last steps to no avail...Please help..

ribbon 3 doesn't slide all the way in, some bronze will show. ribbon 1 is for lcd-is this loose? check for dirt or bent pins on ribbon and on board. have you got the right part? is this a first generation/3g or 3gs. the parts are not interchangeable. if all these things are right then it may be the part is faulty or you have damaged the new lcd during installation.

is the phone still ecognized by iTunes? if not, there must be a problem with the dock onnector ribbon, try to test the conection on this one. it is the larges connector inside, on te top of the dck connector...

Update

if the ribbon does not slide in, it does not matter. that ribbon is only for mic and proximity sensor. its those two other connectors. those two must be seated fully, otherwise it wont work...

does it get picked up by itunes? did you try to reset it?

you might need to rset the phone. press home button with power nutton together, hold them until you can see apple logo. it should tak about 10-15 seconds

it rings but the screen is black...ribbon 3 wont slide all the way in, some bronze is still showing.., is this or my lcd..???
