Help with identifying logic board component

Can anyone help with identifying this burnt component? It appears to be a resistor on most other photos that I have seen.

Is there a component identifying overlay available for this logic board?

I think the logic board identifier is 820-2565-a.

SN ends with BHATM.

MLB end with DD7HAG

Don't think so :-) 820-2565-A is a Magsafe DC Jack Board Looks like a 820-2879

Yes - thanks for that - I only realised after doing a search on the number. I guess the logic board number is on the other side.

Chosen Solution

ozarchie that is not a resistor. This answer is only to identify your component, not to diagnose your board. The component is reference designator L6702 which is a 1000ohm ferrite core inductor used as a filter in a 0402 package. It is part of your mic circuit.

Thanks for the help. I will try to see why the component self ignited :) Unfortunately I dropped a screwdriver that shorted that component - and was surprised by the amount of sparking!!
