not getting any wifi networks AT ALL

i have an ipod that CANNOT connect to ANY wifi networks. It wont show any networks to choose from. i used to be able to see my neighbours networks and mine but everything is gone. i went to iRepair in malaysia and they told me that its a software problem. But few days later, i went to my grandmas house and i was able to see networks and actually get the wifi. Then i went to my dads house and the same thing happened. Then i went back home and i was able to do the same thing. But later on i had to visit my aunts house and i was back to square one. I tried everything from restarting ALL settings, reset networks and i even went back to iRepair. Please help. All my family members are getting wifi like normal even my moms ipad that i believe is VERY old
