Replaced iPhone 6+ screen, now calls dont work/drop through ear mic

Basically did a screen replacement on my ATT iPhone 6+ and everything seems to function except for the ear speaker when the proximity sensor dims/turns off the screen. It'll either just hang the call up immediately or stay silent and then after several seconds when the screen turns back on (after I pull my face away from the screen) it'll start working or hang up. I've taken it apart a couple times and the speaker flex cable seems fine and all the contacts are touching. Any ideas what it could be? THANK YOU!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Probably the front camera ribbon cable assembly with the proximity sensor has gone bad.

Sounds like you may have very slightly nicked the cable when replacing the screen, or that there is dirt or something around the contacts of the FPC connector not allowing it to make great contact.

try cleaning connector on the main board and the cable, if that doesn't work test replacing the front camera/proximity sensor cable with a known good one. If that works you have found your problem.

if not it's more than likely caused by software, very coincidental I know. But there isn't much more that can cause it

I guess it could be a coincidence, but who knows! Seems to drop or fail when it switched from lte to 4g or vice versa (ATT). Im not sure if it does it when its on speaker. I guess it could be that cable/assembly, but i'm kind of nervous that its not since i cant figure out how dropped/failed calls has anything to do with that assembly. Thanks for helping!
