Screen back light flicker

Macbook 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

My fiancee's computer is starting to have problems with the screen flickering. It can be corrected sometimes by tilting the screen or other times by changing screen brightness level.

I couldn't find this listed on your site as a common problem. I read one place that it might be an inverter issue of some sort, but located a lot of unknowns.

Would you be able to tell me if this is common and if it has a common fix and if you have the parts available for order?
