My screen is flashing negative/positive when moving

MacBook Pro 2008 15"

Hi,

When using my Mac Book Pro 15", the screen is flashing in negative and lines appear and disappear when I move the screen by trying to have a positive image. Sometimes, depending on the rotating position , it turns OK.

Is it a screen problem or a driver problem ?

I have the possibility to change the screen (got two spares), is it worth to do it and do you have a video ?

thx a lot.

If you move the display and it changes that would imply the LCD screen or LVDS cable is damaged within the display. To double check I would connect an external display to see if it was working if it does that supports the bad display.

Here is the IFIXIT guide you'll need to follow to replace it: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Late 2008 and Early 2009 Display Assembly Replacement
