Pressure spots after LCD replacement
I'm completely stumped.
I replaced an LCD on an iPhone 6. The Touch ID and LCD touch work fine. The only problem is when applying slight pressure the LCD displays a rainbow effect. Tried to reseating the connectors, cleaning them, hard reset, factory restore.
with the connections in place, before seating the LCD, the problem is nonexistent. It only happens when I pop the screen in place. Any suggestions?
Is this a good question?
@voxify did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same issue after a battery replacement. I thought there's something pressing on the back of the screen, this is why it happens only when the screen is closed. However I can't find anything that would be pressing against it. The only other thing I can think of is that the outside case has some dents, so perhaps the screen is not seating evenly.
