Phone searching or no service

My phone has been saying searching or no service. We did a factory reset with no luck, took it to Apple, att, and Iphone fix it shop (who replaced the power adapter?) still no luck. Finally when we open the phone, disconnect the battery connector for 5 mins and plug it back in, it finds service again. This lasts a day until it loses service again. Wifi works perfectly. No water damage, hasn't been dropped. Any idea why unplugging the battery connect makes it work?

Have you tried replacing the battery?

Was the little wire antenna plugged in when you unplugged the battery, or did it feel loose at all? I've seen people crush these connectors while trying to plug them back in, and then just hope and pray the EMI plate holds it down enough to get a signal.
