Black screen after 2 weeks of running (replaced)

Hello again,

I found a lot about black screens for iphones, but I have a specific question as I did not find an answer to it:

I replaced the display for my iPhone recently and it worked well for it, but after 2 weeks of running (directly after a phone call), it suddenly went black (it shimmered a Little bit) and then went off totally. I describe it as I had exactly the same Problem with the iPhone 5c of my wife as well. I did not find a solution yet. If I try to make the "reset mode" (hold both home- and on/off-button for 15 seconds) or disconnect the battery after opening, there is nothing.

If I connect it to iTunes, it connects (but does not work as I have to type in the PIN Code, haha without display and fingerscan does not work).

For the iPhone 5c, I ordered another Screen, but that won't work as well. So I guess that the diplay should still work..

Did anyone had the same Problem? Or even better: can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Did you bought the screens from the same seller and are they authentic?

No I didn't, for the 5c I bought a cheap display first, then a 80€ one, for the 5s, I bought directly a good one (~70€, 1 hour later I smashed it again), then one for 85€ from a well-rated seller on eBay. Tried my best to find out that it is no crap.

It wonders me that both mobiles ran for approximately one week, then both had exactly the same way of dying...

Another Thing: now I tried to put the old (and smashed) diplay back to the iPhone, but this one won't work anymore as well. It did before, but it was smashed, so it should work I think.

That's a really confused situation.

Do you charge both of phones with the same charger? As there are some report that fake Lightning cables can damage the phone but i didn't came up again with such a situation.

have you tried a new screen on it yet? it could be that the part was defective. if you have tried a new screen and still have the same result it could also possibly be the backlight went out on the device. you could try taking the phone into a completely dark room and try using a bright flashlight (with Cree bulb) and see if you can see anything on the screen, if so then you have a blown resistor possibly which controls the backlight.
