fix for usb charge port HTC one m7

My phone do not respond when connected to my laptop, and the microphone do not work. I bought several parts on ebay. After test, I found none work. All parts work when charging only. But, none will allow my phone to sync and talk, even though they are claimed by the seller to be new parts.

I start to wonder whether any step is missing when installing the usd charge port. I connects all cables to the main port, and connect the little connector for the mic. I even do a factory test of my phone. Even that does not make the part works.

Appreciate if someone can tell me if I miss anything as far as installation steps for this usd charge port and mic.

Hi there sounds like the ic for connecting with pc may need jumping or replacing, it can only be done by a qualified technician but will the technician can check the current before deciding if that part/ic needs replacing.

the ic you mentioned must be in the main board, correct ? Perhaps this will take more than the phone is worth !! Thanks for your help.

Have you inspected the fpc connector where the usb charge port connects to the motherboard. Look for any damaged, bent or missing pins in the fpc connection on the motherboard, using magnification. A damaged fpc connector could be the problem.
