Can I Fix The Lock Button on 5c Without Replacing the Cable?

Hello

I am posting to ask if its possible to fix an iphone 5c lock button that still clicks, but is unresponsive to the phone... yet sometimes the phone asks to be powered off.

Does this mean

A) I need to replace the ribbon flex cable internally?

B) I can wedge a conductive/non-conductive piece somewhere to fix it?

C) Just the button needs to be replaced?

D) Maybe something needs cleaning?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try opening and cleaning the cable and connector, if that doesn't work try a new cable, if still no try a new button, if still no, it's a logic board problem....

When the power button is disconnected does the phone still ask to be powered off etc? If yes then it's not a cable issue.

If the phone asks to be powered off with the button reconnected you will need to replace the button/flex.

I hope this helps
