stopped working completely, black screen

phone seemed to die cant charge cant turn on, nothing happens with anything. just black screen.

If the screen is completely black you possibly have a broken lcd, bad broken #1 connector. Or you may have burned out the backlight in which case you will see the faint screen but unless you can do or know someone who can do microsoldering you can't fix it.

try plugging into itunes, if it is recognized then your lcd is probably bad. if not recognized by itunes the battery could be bad. your dock assay (connector #4) could have came loose not allowing you to charge or do anything with your dock connector.
