I split my screen, literally

Hi guys,

i tried to swap my battery in my iPhone 5s. Unfortunately when i removed my display, it split into two parts. I uploaded a pic for you, did that happen to any of you guys before? I don't know what to do now, because i can't access the battery and when i put my phone back together it shows a huge white line in the middle. I figure something is not connected properly, but i can't access the interior of my phone.

Does anybody have an advice how i can remove the "second part" of my display?

Thanks in advance!

It looks like you have separated the actual screen from the frame it sits in. This can happen by the adhesive between the screen and frame loosens, explicitly if you tried to remove it with a suction cup type method. The white line in the middle of the screen is LCD damage and there is no fix for that you just have to replace it. Order a LCD assembly its fairly cheap , and follow instructions on how to replace the part.

Thanks for the quick answer, i managed to take of the frame as well and swapped my battery which was the actual goal... I tried to put together both display parts as proper as possible and now everything seems to work, however the display is sitting a little loose which doesn't bother me that much but the picture is messed up:

Is there any chance that "nothing" is actually broke but a connection is only loose? I don't quite understand which part you mean with "LCD assembly", could you give me a link? And also, i managed to break a part of the frame, which is also the reason why the two parts separated in the first place. Is a new frame included when i order a "LCD assembly"?

Now i also noticed that the touchscreen doesn't work as well...

The line in the middle can be from the connection yes. If it is loose then simply pulling it up and reconnecting would fix that. if it work than the connection is damaged and that is part of the LCD so the whole thing has to be replaced. The touch is from the digitizer. if your conectionns are down and a reset (power and home button) doesent fix it then yo will have to replace that as well. An assembly is the top glass, digitizer, LCD and frame. It comes pre assembled and will fix all your problems if installed correctly. But it sounds like you damaged them all inn the process. So if i would buy the assembly and build it in correctly, it should work. Did i get that right?

Correct right now all your problems lie in between the connections on your screen and the screen itself. This assembly is everything you need just take your time, be careful and maybe even do some research before yo actually do the repair this time .
