Charging port not getting recognized.

So my iPhone 5c is not recognizing when I plug it in. I thought it was it a bad charging port, so I replaced it. That didn't do anything. The headphone jack works and so do the loud speakers. I then took out the motherboard and put it in a full functioning iPhone 5c which I tested (charging port worked as well) but this motherboard failed to recognize when it was plugged in and wouldn't charge. The phone worked perfect from the remaining battery power it had, but since the phone couldn't charge. It died on me and I either have to put a new battery in it, or switch the motherboard back so it can recognize when it's connected and charge the battery that way.. I'm pretty sure this has to do with the motherboard, but I'm not for sure. Any recommendations?

To clarify, your replacement charge port is not working with either motherboard?

No, the charging port works with one, but not the other.

Did you happen to try different cables . It may have been a cable problem not a phone problem

Is sounds like it is the motherboard header for the power board... Look to see that there is no dust or something in it or that none of the pins are broken...

Okay thanks, I'll give it a try. I'm just confused because the headphone jack, speaker, and home button connection all work. Which is the same piece as the charging port.

JIMFIXER I agree very well could be the charger itself. Double check with a second charging cable , I've seen things like this before, Sometimes it's just a phone being picky to the part. i would order another charge port from another vendor and see if this one works .. But also check the pins on the board to see if they are bent or anything like dust is in there on the one that is not working.
