Water damage no network wrong date/time

I dropped my iphone in the toilet, took it out as fast as possible, turned it off and put it in rice for 2 days. When I turned it back on everything seemed to be functioning properly, except that the date/time was stuck on 1:00 January 1 and cannot be changed. The following day it stopped connecting to the network. It is always 'searching'. Wifi still works. IMEI code still shows. I have done a restore to no avail.
