Keyboard problem on PB G4 Mercury, 400mhz?

Hi guys,

I've got a problem with my keyboard on PB G4 400mhz Mercury since yesterday....

To be precise I've got problem with two lines of keyboard, with numbers line from 1 to 0 and with line below, from Q to P!

Everytime when I press 1 it shows 1Q on screen....the same is with 2 (2W),3 (3E)....etc....same thing happens when I press Q,it shows 1Q like the number is also pressed??

can someone help me with this issue and tell me how to fix my keyboard??

is it problem with flex cable or what?

all other buttons works just fine except these two lines!

p.s. I've done some removals of keyboard recently,so maybe that can be a problem...I don't know really.....

But why just that 2 lines?

I would appreciate any help!

Thanks in advance!!

I would first re-seat the keyboard to logic board cable. Next remove the battery and start up from the AC adapter only and see if the problem persists. Please let us know.

it was strange that I've noticed that in open firmware the error doesn't persist...so I've reseted the NVRAM and it works just fine!:)

thanks very much for your reply!
