Oculus Lenses on HTC Vive?

Hi guys! I think this is mainly for the staff at iFixit. Hearing about the difference in "screen door effect" when comparing the HTC Vive to the Oculus Rift, I can't help but wonder how much relates to lenses vs display and if it would be possible to swap the lenses. There aren't many folks who have disassembled versions around and I know it would be of major interest to a lot of VR enthusiasts.

It seems like the screens are similar but not identicle in size (90mm vs 91.8ishmm?), the lens to screen distance might be different, and I suppose if they display the content differently that would be another challenge. I'm curious if you would consider an experiment to swap the lenses to see what effect that might have. Thanks!

Answer this question I have this problem too

You can't swap the lenses they are doing some magic in order to fit smaller differences in peoples eye sight.

However that is device specific and I don't think that would work without a very intrusive mod.
