Little or no cell coverage

Hello Everyone,

I just installed a new battery, along with new front and clear back panel. I was careful to put everything back in place, including the grounding clip near the battery leads. That clip touched the old white back panel, which has metal, there is only clear plastic now. Does the back serve as an antenna or not? I have seen video online of a 4 with a round cut out of the plastic film to touch the back metal layer. My original back has solid film above this clip.

I put my phone into field test mode. I am getting -93 (3G enabled, -78 no 3G) in my kitchen. Speed test shows less that .4 mbps. Everything was working well before I made the changes. Now, Google maps doesn't work. Cameras, speakers, etc - everything else is working. Even wifi is working. Is the issue IOS?

I cannot find a hardware test for the 4S online. I am now thinking it is the apple update, but know I can't go back from 9.3.2. My wife's 6plus is LTE and works normal.

I need to use my iPhone as a navigator. Any ideas?
