Will I be able to replace the HDD without fan problems?

Hey,

my Apple HDD just died. I Ordered a SSD to have it build in, one technician tells me it cannot be don because the fan will go crazy, the other technician tells me this is the late 21.5 imac is the last one that will not go crazy if you just replace the HDD.

Wich technician speaks words of wisdom?

Also, if i need fan regulation software because the fan will go crazy, how save is it to use (i use windows via bootcamp as much as OSX, playing some games) fan regulation software without breaking something in the future? (or, would it just be recomended to stick with a Apple HDD?)

Don't go back to the first technician, use the other one. But all you really need is us ;-)

Here's the guide to do it: iMac Intel 21.5" EMC 2544 Hard Drive Replacement

You will need to get the adhesive strips and I highly recommend the little plastic cutting tool that comes with them.
