Cant remove front panel assembly - Step 28 of home button replacement

I am stuck at Step 28 of the iPhone 4 button replacement process.

There's just no way to pry the front panel assembly from the steel inner frame. All screws are removed. I even warmed up the unit with a hair dryer to help. No go.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Frank

There is adhesive at the top and bottom above and below the display. Some heat (about 60 degrees C, you'll damage the LCD at not much above that, if you can't touch it and hold your hand on it, its too hot)

I generally use (used, I don't see these often anymore) an isesemo to CAREFULLY run around the edge at the bottom and top to break the glue loose. Its mostly by feel to know when is too much and risk cracking the glass
