identifying iPod classic and thick to thin head phone jack replacement

i need a new head phone jack, sound only coming intermittently out of one channel

my silver ipod model no cant be read on the bac !!!

so i cant tell if its thick or thin ,, i'm presuming thin but not sure

its serial no from 'about' screen is 8k1162089zs

model mc293

version2.0.4pc

those no's dont seem to match any no's on the ' identify your i pod ' pages

can anyone help

i'm away in asia and lost without my music

and the other question is if its thin, your out of stock of the jack, can the thick jack part be adapted to fit or visa versa

oh and if to 'adapt' i lose the lock on the top so be it never use it any way

The 160 GB is the thick model.
