How can I restore data deleted from the desktop?

Well, my Laptop got a power issue, and it's not going to be fixed anymore because it's an old model, but what I'm going to do I'm going to remove the hard disk and connect it to my other laptop to have my files back.

-but the whole thing that i need to restore files were on the desktop and I'm not sure if that will appear when i connect it to my new laptop or i will get the files on the C drive and the other drives?

Please any advised because i had some important files on the desktop and i'm not sure if that will be back or not?

If the laptop had only one disk drive you should be able to see any files saved to the desktop. The c drive is normally the main booting drive (unless someone changed it to another drive in your computer) and therefore the desktop files would be located on that drive under a folder probably called desktop. Good luck!

@jelserafy you did not tell us which model you "old" laptop is so I can not tell you exactly what type of hard drive you have. You can simply remove the old drive and place it in an external drive enclosure. That will give you total access to your files. Trying to run it as the primary hard drive for a newer computer would most likely be more complicated since that might require a reinstall of all drivers and issues with the OS.

I will try to check the model by today because I'm not home yet, but the whole thing that the files were on the despot, if i connected the hard disk normally to my new laptop, the files on the desktop will be on the C drive is that correct?

Yes they will be. The D partition is usually reserved for the recovery portion of your computer.
