1996 GMC K1500 not starting

So i had my shifter linkage replaced on a friday, on monday my truck started sputtering and lost power on the side of the road. Got it home and started farting around with it trying to figure out whats wrong. So my first attempt it started and ran for 20 minutes, but when i pressed the brake pedal it shut off. Now it will crank, but will not start. All the fuses are good, the fuel pump primes when i turn the key to on, but it won't start anymore.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Check your Neutral Safety Switch, It may not be plugged in all the way, bad, installed wrong, or damaged when the linkage was replaced.

- It's located on the drivers side of the transmission, the switch is a plastic box attached to the input shaft of the shift linkage.
