unable to unlock the device after factory setting restore

I restored to factory setting. On entering my apple id and password, it says it is not correct for this ipad.

please help.

Verify that you Apple ID & pwd is correct by login to appleid.apple.com.

If issue is with Apple ID pwd, you'll need to reset it. There should be a link there to do just that. Either you ask it to send a reset pwd email to the same email address that you're using for your Apple ID or you can answer security questions.

If you can login using your Apple ID on the website, then issue is on your iPad. Make sure internet is working properly. I would usually do a Recovery Restore by putting it into Recovery Mode (commonly known as iTunes Logo mode amongst my customers). That will make sure that it's running latest firmware and any prior modifications (if any) is removed and replaced with official clean software.

You should just be able to go to the apple website, and have your password reset. You should receive an email, and you can reset your password
