How to fix ding in corner of the laptop and realign lid?

My backpack fell out of my trunk with my laptop inside. It banged on the ground. The lid is barely mis-aligned with the base and there is a small but deep ding/dent in the corner. How would I go about fixing these issues? Thanks.

The retina displays are so difficult to work on that there's no guide for it. The alignment may just be matter of loosening the screws, adjust it and tightening again. See this guide of doing that: MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2014 Display Assembly Replacement

Thanks for the guide. How far into it should I got for the re-alignment. I would think that I wouldn't have to go so far as to do all the steps. Could you recommend the step number I should go to for the re-alignment?

You should be able to go straight to step #12 after you take the bottom off. Just loosen the screws till you can adjust the green to fit.
