Why doesn't my HP Pavilion ze2000 start up in any mode?

Every time I start up the computer, it says that a recent hardware or software installation might of caused this or a power outage. Then it will ask me which mode do I want Windows to start up with: Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking,Safe Mode with command Prompt, Last known configuration or Start up Windows Normally. No matter which I choose, it will start, then crash, then go back to the black screen asking me the same thing. Can anyone help?

My daughter's gateway NV53 running Windows 7 is doing the exact same thing! I have always been able to fix any crash...but I'm stumped on this one. Did you ever get an answer to your problem? I need help! She's gonna get behind on her school work :(

I think you need to start your computer with your operating system disk and instead of install try selecting repair disk. If that does not work you can try an archive and install to save your data. The final option is to format the drive and reinstall the OS. In any case when you get the computer working I would make sure I had very good malware and anti-virus programs installed and functioning. A check of the forums suggest a possibility of a heat problem so you could try a inexpensive cooler stand and see if it helps. Good luck.
