Eject button doesn't work and power button doesn't light up

I bought this xbox 360 S off a guy who said that it worked but the eject button stopped working. Which I tested out and he was right. I have been able to play a game on it. The system was randomnly turning on and opening and closing the disc drive. I just replaced the flex ribbon last night, one of the poles on the plastic clip was already broken, so we used gorilla glue to hold it down in place. I hooked everything back up and it did not fix the problem. The eject button is still not working and the power button is still not lighting up. I don't really want to put a lot of money into this system, because I could just go buy a used one at gamestop. What should I do next, buy a new faceplate and rf modulator. Or just give up and get a "new" xbox 360. Before anyone says, give up and buy the xbox one. My husband and I already have an xbox one and we have the original xbox. I'm a video game collector, so I'm actually trying to get all of the systems.

Most likely you need to just replace the faceplate (those static switches are jerks and brake a lot)
