No video, no audio, but lights and sound
I have been using my macbook for about 3 years. No problems. One time the LCD hinge broke but I fixed that myself after ordering the part...basically had to take every part of the macbook apart... fun stuff actually!
I say all that to say I am 100% comfortable working inside my macbook.
Having said all of that, my macbook fell off a bedside table onto my bedroom floor... I think the back left corner hit first.
It was on at the time.
Video went dead after that.
Now, when I turn it on, you hear all the gears moving, but where you typically hear the startup tones, you hear nothing.
And, no video.
But the status light stays lit up.
Any suggestions?
Sorry if this is in the wrong group. Please suggest another one and I will happily move it.
thanks in advance
J
Is this a good question?

Reseated HD and RAM. Tested each invididual RAM stick in each slot in case a slot or a stick was bad... no dice.
WIll have to find a VGA adapter for this macbook since it doesnt have VGA.
