Black screen iPhone 6s

Hello! I got a problem!

I dropped my iPhone 6s. The screen went black and I first thought that it was a dead screen.

After trying to check it I opened it and tried with another screen which I knew was working.

I am very carefull with the flex cables, but nothing happened! the screen was still black even though the phone could ring at play music etc. I am sure I didn't made anything worse in the repair.

What could be the problem? Thanks in advance!

Iphone 6s has a very sensitive backlight chip. If you disconnect the screen from the board while it is turned on that can damage the backlight chip. When you drop your phone the cable can disconnect, and the backlight chip can be damaged. It means that the phone working well but the screen remains black.

When you drop your phone and hits the floor. It causes the PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) chip on the logic board to have a cold solder joint. To have that repaired you would have to mail it in to a microsoldering repair shop that specializes in that.

It does sometimes it seems random, show small burst of pictures for like 1/10 a seconds, could it still be PMIC?

Yes it could be the PMIC. The PMIC is basically the brains of the iPhone like a cpu is on a computer.

Okay, because I was wonsering if it could be the LCD connecter but that doesnt make sence when it make small picture burst once in a while :) Could it be anything else?
