No picture or sound from TV but will play DVD's perfectly

Had a bad electrical storm that knocked out power for a short time. When power came on my TV wouldn't bring in any channels anymore. No picture and no sound. Only a few little static white lines here and there. But when I put a movie in the DVD player built in the unit it has perfect picture and sound. Nothing wrong with my TV cable as it is now connected to a small portable set.

Any suggestions, comments or ideas to locate and fix my TV would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, have you tried to 'rescan' for your TV channels?

Hi,

Try rescanning for channels. Or the storm could have shorted out the antenna/cable connection. You may be out of luck :( Sounds like an old TV anyways. Those new Samsung ones are amazing! Costco FTW!
