After Display Replacement, Front and Rear Camera doesnt work

I replaced the Display of an Iphone 6.

Seems to work perfectly, but the Cameras doesn't work.

Front and Rear Camera are showing black Screens, and i mean to know the phone is getting warm if the Camera is activated.

I've tried to remove the Display again and got my eyes on the plugs and sockets, i tried to get them in perfectly, but now the same Problem.

greetings from Germany

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Try using the camera with the screen lifted up and see if it works. I'm suspecting one of those weird grounding issues between the screen frame housing again.

I tried three different Displays, doesn't work. no matter if closed or lifted.

Hey Klappt,

Rear camera first: See if it is plugged in. When removing the metal plate that covers the flex connectors sometimes it will pull on the rear camera flex connector unseating it. Also, unplug the prox/front facing camera flex to see if the rear camera comes back to life. Sometimes the flex grounds out certain functions of the device.

Front facing camera: See if your proximity sensor and ear speaker work on the device first. The getting hot issue can be caused by a missing prox sensor pulled off the flex during disassembly. If the flex is connected correctly to the logic board then it my be a damaged or bad flex. Flexes can be torn during disassembly. Check the connectors on the flex and logic board for damage. If the battery was not disconnected first before the repair a metal tool could of shorted a circuit causing damage to the logic board.

Hope this helps.

I tried the Old Display again, there's the same Problem too. And i tried another Ifixit Display, the Problem is further on.

Now I've ordered a new rear- and frontcamera. I Think the Problem is caused by the rearcamera.

Because 2 Ifixit Displays and the Original Display doesnt work. That are 3 different Frontcameras, so i Think the failure isn't here.

Are the front- and the rear-camera related anyway? by each other? so if one camera doesn't work, the other one doesn't work too?

The battery wasn't disconnected. thats right. but i used an plastical tool.

Did you test the ear speaker or prox sensor? (To determine what works on the flex)

Did you try the front facing camera with the rear camera disconnected? and the rear camera with the prox flex disconnected?

Is there any signs of liquid damage? (Red indicator stickers in the phone tripped)

Ear Speaker and Prox sensor works perfectly.

I'll try today without Rear camera. Otherwise I've ordered a new front and rear camera to preclude the Problems by the Cameras.

There's no sign of liquid damage (By the way, it's my own phone)

I'm afraid that the Problem is on the Logicboard.
