Joe Jiggy the LCD of course can not be repaired it wil need to be replaced. this is where the trouble starts. It is very difficult to find replacement screens and when you do find it it will most likely cost more than a new TV. I would try and find a broken TV, other than the LCD screen, and harvest the screen from that.
