How do you replace the start button?

On the earlier G3 P0werbooks, like the Wallstreet, Lombard, and Pismo a bad start-up button could be replaced, but on the G4 there does not appear to be a way to remove the old button, even if you had a replacement. Anyone know how to tackle this? I do not see any repair guides that proceed that far.

Thanks but I had another parts machine and used its button. The button deosn't need to be in place unless you are replacing it; simply unplugging the gray and black wires leading from the installed one to the board, and then plugging the new one into the board is sufficient for testing purposes. The new button didn't solve the problem, so I'm going to try and boot to another monitor, if that's possible with the VGA port?

Tghese buttons are held in with adhesive, and replacing one can be messy.
