Broken Rear Speaker Connector - Okay to leave alone?
Hi,
I'm new to the forum. I was replacing the optical drive with an SSD on my Macbook White Unibody and I broke the connection between the logicboard and the rear speaker. I accidentally pulled the connection and pins clean off the board instead of only removing the cable. My sound quality is now greatly reduced but other than that the computer seems to work better than ever!
Speakers are not very important to me on this particular computer so I was planning to simply not try to fix this connection. My only question is could leaving this broken and continuing to use the computer lead to more serious damage to the logic board? Should I consider covering up the exposed part of the board where the connector used to be with super glue or electrical tape?
Thanks in advance for all your help!
Is this a good question?
