5GHz network not being detected

I am using a ASUS ZENBOOK, Modèle : UX21E laptop fitted with the Qualcomm Atheros AR9485WB-EG WIRELESS NETWORK ADAPTER w/Integrated 802.11 b/g/n and I can not see and therefore can not connect to my 5GHz wireless network. How can I get this PC to see the 5GHz network.

My network is fine, Im using a Linksys WRT1900AC dual-band router. With the ASUS I can pick up the 2.4GHz band but not the 5Ghz band which I want. With my other laptop a Thinkpad T400 fitted w/Integrated 802.11 b/g/n I can pick up the 5Ghz band

Hi,

Perhaps the 5GHz antenna connection is loose or faulty. Apparently, according to this link the WLAN card has two antennas, (scroll down to the bottom of the page to see a picture of the antennae connections). One for each frequency band.

Here is the link.
