What is this coil for and how to fix it

When disconecting the battery of my iphone 5c, I accedentaly broke off one of the little coils right next to the battery connecter. Everything still seems to work. The only thing i couldn't test was service because i have no sim card.

What is it for?

If I'm correct the coils are actually a choke to limit the amount of DC voltage coming from either the charger or the battery.

I think the phone may have issues more quickly down the road if a car charger is used on it.
